Legal & Company Information
Last updated 11 September 2026
These are the supplier disclosures required by section 43 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.
Who you are contracting with
Trading name: PrimeSeat
Legal name: To be confirmed — contact us for details
Legal status: Sole proprietor. PrimeSeat is not a registered company, so there is no company registration number or board of office bearers.
Country: South Africa
How to reach us
Email: enquiries@primeseat.co.za
Website: www.primeseat.co.za
What we supply
PrimeSeat is an online reservation service. We allow you to reserve a specific, identified table at a participating restaurant for a chosen date, time and party size, rather than making a general booking where seating is assigned on arrival.
We are not the restaurant. The meal, the service and the premises are supplied by the restaurant you book, not by us.
Price and payment
All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) before you commit to a booking, itemised as a deposit and, where applicable, a premium seat fee, together with the total payable. There are no delivery, transport or handling charges, because nothing is shipped.
Prices are the full amount payable. PrimeSeat is not a registered VAT vendor, so no VAT is charged.
Payment is made by card or other methods offered through PayFast, a South African payment gateway. Card details are entered directly with PayFast and are never received or stored by us.
When the service is provided
Your reservation is for the specific date and time you select at checkout. Confirmation is sent by email, normally within a few minutes of payment. If you do not receive it, contact us and we will resend it.
Cancellations, refunds and your cooling-off rights
Our full Refund & Cancellation Policy sets out how cancellations are handled, and forms part of our Terms & Conditions.
The seven-day cooling-off right in section 44 of the Act does not apply to these bookings. Section 42(2)(j) excludes catering and leisure services that the supplier undertakes to provide on a specific date or within a specific period, which is what a table reservation is. Your right to cancel an advance reservation under section 17 of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 is unaffected.
Security and your personal information
The site is served over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Payment card data is handled entirely by PayFast and never reaches our systems. How we handle personal information, and your rights under POPIA, are set out in our Privacy Policy.
Complaints and dispute resolution
Please contact us first at primeseat@primeseat.co.za — most issues are resolved quickly and directly.
If we cannot resolve it, you may refer the matter to the National Consumer Commission, or to any other forum with jurisdiction. Nothing here limits your right to do so.
Industry bodies and codes of conduct
PrimeSeat is not currently a member of any self-regulatory or accreditation body, and does not subscribe to an industry code of conduct. This is disclosed because section 43 requires it to be stated either way.
